This bracelet starts out as pre-1964 silver quarters that are melted down and poured into a mold carved out of tufa stone. The ingot bar is then hammered into the desired shape and size, hand stamped and filed and then shaped by hammering over a steel mandril. The last step involves setting the turquoise stone into the bezel that is soldered to the bracelet after shaping.
This piece was created by Armando Apolinar, a native Arizonan.
